El Saltillo

We are passing through, figured Mexican is always great. We got seated fast. Then it took the waitress 20 minutes to take our drink order. 10 more minutes. Still no drinks. She did not know of sour cream came on the food or not. I had high hopes for the place. But KFC across the street got our business.

The food was great! I got the fajitas with steak, shrimp and chicken. It was done quite nicely. The rice and beans that came with it were quite good and the chips and salsa they brought before the meal were good though I've had better. I think the most expensive thing on the menu was a T bone steak for about $17. I'm going to have to go back and give it a try. The waitress was good and my dinner companion gave her a $10 tip on a $35 bill. I'd definitely recommend it for a nice but reasonably priced Mexican restaurant

The service was terrible, the drinks were terrible, the server was very unprofessional. This was the first time in a while I went to treat my family for dinner. We all ordered together, they brought out everyone dinner except for mine I waited and waited the server didn’t come check on the table in a timely matter, and may I mention they were not crowded. When I finally got the server attention and explained my family has been eating for ten minutes and I still don’t have my food, he stated the they forgot to make my order, so I asked for another drink. When he brought the drink back it was not fresh they poured over the little ice that was in my last glass. $80 is a lot of money these days to be throwing away.
