Al Qamar

I heard a lot of positive things about this place so I had to try it out. The opening times are a bit unusual but once you go there, you won't be disappointed. The place is well designed, clean and has a warm friendly atmosphere. The owner, Idrees, is hands on and very welcoming and friendly. He certainly made me feel comfortable. We booked a table for 20 and ate everything he had to offer! The meat, kebabs, steaks, rice and drinks were all delicious and full of flavour. The desserts and tea at the end were really nice. The cakes had a home style bake feel to it. Amazing! The waitresses were very friendly and hospitable. If you like Arab style cuisines, then this is a place to try. I'll definitely go back again.

We come every year for a get together at Al-Qamars and it never fails. The hospitality, food, price, atmosphere is amazing. A beautiful kind family owned restaurant and nothing is too much for the staff. We had set menu soup, bread, hummus mains mixed grill rice fries salad and dessert with tea. Everything was superb a very generous portion, all fresh and homemade. Kids meal we had nuggets chips salad again my daughter really enjoyed it and a generous portion too. Would highly recommend.

Food is good. Nice and hot, even the plate is hot. Very considerate. Served with soup and different sauce. They just fit the dishes well. Ordered roast salmon and mix grill. A bit salty for mixed grill but overall food is brilliant. The table is a bit sticky. Not sure it's not clean or anything. However, Sunday menu is limited. Maybe there is chance you can't get what you want.

Came here for a Sunday roast and can say I was VERY impressed. The restaurant is well presented, clean and the staff are really welcoming and friendly. The Sunday menu is a choice of chicken, lamb or salmon - but you can have a mix of chicken and lamb. Starter was a vegan house soup, which was superb, I'd happily had just that with crusty bread (as a bigger portion). The food was very well seasoned and cooked to perfection, with all the trimmings. I'd highly recommend, just be sure to book in advance. Looking forward to trying out the midweek grill next.

Wow! What can I say about this place. From the moment me and my family walked in the owner (Idris) was extremely hospitable, his smile and warm welcoming personality was infectious. For me if the service and hospitality is 5* then that trumps everything else. But, not only was the service class the food was second to none. The platter for 2 was more like a platter for 5. Pieces of meat were so tender, rice was on point and chips were just right. Salad dressing was special 😋. To accompany the meal Br Idris served us his home made fresh Berry juice, it was so refreshing... Managed to sneak in a cheeky dessert as well! Will definitely be going back again. Just gutted that I hadn't known about this eatery before.

What a beautifully clean and classy restaurant. Sunday's menu is dedicated just to Sunday roast and I certainly wasn't complaining. Loved the food, loved the decor and loved the service. Also loved the delicious soup starter. It's so refreshing to have a halal traditional roast dinner without standing in the kitchen myself.
