Marco's Fish Bar

Went in this place whilst passing through the area and I’m very goad I did. This is a proper chippy! Old school tastes like it used to be 20 odd years ago. Quality ingredients, awesome taste, hygienic and staff (AZIZ) was an absolute gentleman. What a great guy and a great place! I tried a lamb donner in pitta which was 10/10. Also tried a cod and chips which also was 10/10. I have to become a regular now whenever I am in the area. TRY IT - YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Ma sha Allah what a lovely brother! Went today by the off chance me and my uncle fancied some fish&chips on our way back from walsall. Went to one first unfortunately it was not halal so we left rather disappointed and continued our journey home. As we was passing we spotted Marcos and thought lets see if it’s any good, went and and greeted by warm and honourable Moroccan brother may Allah bless him! Quickly ordered a large cod and chips and kebab in pitta and let me say it was honestly a throwback to the 90’s proper old school chippy that hit the spot! The fish was mouth watering, perfect white cod with a perfect consistency of batter, crispy, flavoursome and simply delicious! The kebab was once again perfect! Hot fresh and tasty topped with freshly cut salad and drizzled in the only sauce kebab should be “hot chilli” amazing. The chips again were superb light fresh and soft a proper chip in fact one of the best ive had for a good while! Keep it up see you soon🫡

Lovely shop and very friendly staff! Both the owner and employees always ready to help with a smile and always there to help you decide your meal with some lovely suggestions and samples to try! Very well priced considering the cost of everything these days and compared to other takeaways! Perfect fish size, perfectly cooked and delicious kebabs! Also love the southern fried chicken! Highly recommend!

What an absolutely excellent meal every time. The chips are perfectly cooked, seasoned extremely well and hit the spot every time. I often find myself coming to Marco’s when I’m feeling down as I know the food will pick me right back up. I am a die hard fan of the fish too. Keep up the good work, guys.
