The Coffee Club

I did some training and three shifts with the Coffee Club and Larry (owner) was fantastic. Kitchen is super clean, in fact one of the cleanest kitchens I have worked in! The food is fresh and top quality produce, with strict rotation of stock. I don't understand the negative reviews re staff as staff are paid award.

Have been here a few times over past 6 months during visits to hospital. Staff are nice, so is owner but have noticed she consistently over charges me each time whereas the staff don’t- same order each time, different prices. I can’t be bothered haggling over a couple of dollars (too much else to worry about) so didn’t say anything. It’s got to the point that if she comes to serve me I leave, if staff come, I stay and order. Last week my mother told me the owner over charged her for 2 coffees and 2 cakes by more than $3 in total. Mother didn’t realise at time until after she sat down, she won’t be back and now neither will I. I know owner will say “prices are set, I checked till ...” etc etc as per her response in other negative reviews. I have no other motive to give 5 minutes of my valuable time for this review, but it is what it is and i know it’s not just me experiencing this. With over charging and zero parking (I feel sorry for all the businesses in that location) good luck, you don’t win over customers doing this, they notice and their feet do the talking.

Six dollars and ten cents for a mocha. This place is a rip off! 26/7/2018 - Just saw this reply from the owner calling me a liar. I suggest checking your registers or maybe your staffs training as six dollars and ten cents is exactly what I got charged. I would also suggest having a good look at yourself if accusing customers of lying is your go to response. Good luck.
