Amazing flavor, views, service, and price. This gem has a great selection, and the food is delicious. The paninis are crispy and filling and French fries are fresh. While no beer is on draft, they have a large selection of beer in cans and bottles and a generous choice of wine. The family friendly atmosphere is laid back with a great view of the river. While the decor is having a bit of an identity crisis (barnyard or beach), the food and pleasantness of the people more than makes up for it.

This place was absolutely fantastic and completely unexpected in small town Blanco. The service was phenomenal, Lina left us wanting for nothing. Refilled my tea at least 4 times. It started with the best from-scratch chips and queso we have ever had, then took it up a notch when the best Ruben and Cheese Burger we had ever had were set in front of us. Even with it 102 outside was a nice cool 70 inside. Great job to the owners of this place.

Decided to visit Josie's upon recommendation from Airbnb host and Yelp reviews. We visited on a Saturday around 4:30pm for an early dinner, we glad we did because as we sat there people started to come in and before we knew it the little dining room was packed with the supper crowd. Upon sitting ourselves the server came over to bring us menus and take our order. We decided to get a Cesar salad with grilled chicken ($5 add on) and a Cubano panini with fries upon being told it was a favorite. Food came out within 10-15mins, which was reasonable given volume and the fact that it was all freshly made. We were really pleased. Both entrées were a good portion for the price paid. They both were tasty and flavorful. The chicken was juicy and tender, but had that grilled flavor. The post roast meet inside the Cubano was done just right. It was honestly one of the best Cubano paninis I have ever had, the dressing and pickles were not overpowering, which tends to be an issue with this item. Fries were decent. While sitting there we saw a few other plates come out and they all looked great. They have a variety with sandwiches, burgers and some Tex Mex flare like nachos and queso. Overall, we enjoyed it and it was worth the visit. Glad to see that a local place putting out good food was surviving and thriving. We look forward to dining in again next time we drive through Blanco.

Stopped in for a late lunch. The place was busy but we were seated within 15min. We went to the outside seating since the couple before us wanted inside seats. Now I know why. The table and floor were very dirty/not properly bused, the flies were swarming and the hot sun beat on us like a drum. We ordered the specials but waited 50min. on our food. That said, the food was very good. I especially liked the salad and dressing.

On our way home from Fredericksburg, We were looking for somewhere to have lunch, luckily we found Josie’s. I had the brisket chilled cheese, It was excellent. I washed it down with a Michelada that was very good also. My wife had one of the specials of the day. She really enjoyed it as well. I will drive from New Braunfels to have a meal here again.
