Lennie's & Bloomington Brewing Co.

I have been coming to Lennie's for years. The food is always delicious! Today was no exception! Stromboli - create your own. I went with the Italian sausage, ricotta cheese, spinach, roasted portobello mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious. House salad - I love the salads here. This features their homemade roasted red pepper dressing. It is very very good. Wine - I went for the Cabernet. My very good friend chose the Chardonnay. The wine is very good, though it is also very pricey. Spinach Artichoke Appetizer - my friend loves ordering this as her meal. I have had it before. It is very very good. Overall the food is outstanding. The service is wonderful. The restaurant is very clean. It is a little pricey for lunch, but of course we each got two glasses of wine - so that's four glasses total - which in turn adds to the expense of the lunch. I highly recommend this place!

It was really busy there today but the hostess let me sit outside and grab a table while I was waiting for the kitchen to catch up. Sydney did a great job and came by to hook me up with a really great salad and a new beer collaboration IPA. The salad with chicken was outstanding and I really liked the dressing. The beer was great and I'm so excited for the warm weather and being able to sit outside here. Thanks for a great meal.

Lennie's was a fantastic experience. This was my first time Lennie's since they'veoved to this location and I cannot wait to return. They're maintaining safe practice by taking everyone's forehead temperature upon entry and offering safe distancing between tables. All staff were *appropriately* wearing masks which was ensuring. The food was absolutely fantastic and the pricing was fair. They have a large pizza oven and a nice bar to enjoy drinks at your leisure. Will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I would definitely call ourselves foodies, and have made it our mission to eat everywhere in town. Tonight, we went to Lennies seeking some good American pub food. We were seated very quickly and our server was prompt throughout the evening. For an appetizer, we ordered the French fry basket. It came to the table hot, crispy, and well seasoned. For our dipping sauces, we tried the pesto (very good on potatoes in all its forms) and the chipotle mayo. The only critique for the fries is actually for the pesto. It lacked seasoning and needed more acid overall to bring out the flavor of the basil. This lack of flavor continued into the main course. My husband and I ordered two completely different items and found a common thread between the two: lack of depth of flavor. The red sauce on my pizza had the right seasoning, but seemed like it was not cooked and ended with a "meh" aftertaste. My husband had one of the sandwiches and said the ingredients meshed well, but again they just needed to be amplified. Overall, we would go there again for the service, but would order something else with the hopes of a more flavorful meal.

Me and my husband went here while visiting Bloomington for the day. I have a wheat allergy so I have to be careful where I eat because it’s airborne and I’m anaphylactic . This place had outdoor seating and some gf food so we went there. First the hostess was rude. There was a patio for outdoor seating which was near the entrance and he wanted to be sure I was as far as possible from the door so It would be easier for my breathing. So he asked her if we could sit under the tent on the street. She didn’t say a word and just rolled her eyes. I let that go but then our server showed up more than 10 minutes later to ask us about our drinks. I know this because after waiting what seemed like forever I start checking the time and it was longer than 10 minutes before I decided look at the time . At this point I ordered a coke and he ordered a water. 11 minutes later we got our drinks. Then we asked for straws. 6 minutes later we received straws. When she brought the straws is when she took our order. At this point we waited more than 27 minutes before even ordering our food. It was noon on a Thursday. It took about 20 minutes for our food which is fine bc the server doesn’t control when food is made and I think 20 minutes is reasonable but our server didn’t bring it to us. Another girl did. That girl also brought us more ranch and she did it quickly. After getting our food, we didn’t see another person for 40 minutes. No drink refill. We didn’t see our server until my husband got tired of waiting and asked another server to find our server. At that point she was much faster just so she could clear the table. The ONLY person who deserved a tip was the girl who brought out our food. And I would have given her a tip if I have cash. But unfortunately she wouldn’t receive it if left on my card. Between the host and our server, we will never go back which is unfortunate because the food was good.

My partner and I had an excellent eating experience at Lennie's of Bloomington! from walking in the door and being greeted by two employees right away, seated and drink order taken in a timely manner. We asked for Rosé and sweet tea. Meal was served hot and excellent taste. Server was very friendly, once she learned it was my Birthday, she offered us a free dessert! I asked her to surprise me and she definitely did! With The Original Sin (House-made double chocolate brownie topped with locally-made vanilla bean ice cream, hot fudge, and caramel sauce) mmmm I mean how can I not be happy!! She also presented our check with two complimentary Hershey kisses! Her name is (Liz). So, thank you Liz and all the staff for making it a very positive experience for us! And I absolutely recommend that y'all check it out! 🌷
