Upland Brewing - Bloomington

Upland supplied the cocktails, wine and beer at my wedding and they were truly exceptional to work with! Jessica was incredibly helpful and patient as I went back and forth with the number of guests, what I wanted to include, the timing of everything, etc. They worked with us for our wedding at The Wilds Venue in Bloomington. One of my favorite additions were the non-alcoholic spritzers that we had for the guests before the ceremony to keep cool in the summer heat! She offered a plethora of options to match what I wanted! The bartenders and service was better than I could have imagined and we couldn’t have worked with a better team!

Our first meal after moving to Bloomington and it was excellent! The hot chicken sandwich is fried perfectly and actually hot. We got the potato salad with it and it was delicious, not pickley. The Hoosier Classic Tenderloin Sandwich was also great. It had a perfect crunch from the breading on the pork. The onions and sweet peppers give it a nice sweet flavor that contrasts the fried breading. The fries were good, not too special but good. The pickles that came on the side of the sandwiches were a little weak in my opinion but the sandwiches were so good it didn’t matter! The service was quick and the server was friendly. We sat out on the patio and it’s a very nice ambiance.

Upland Brewing Co was excellent! We sat on the patio, and it was very spacious. Our server was friendly and tentative. We tried the classic beef burger and the three little pigs sandwich, and both came with the brewery fries and a pickle. The food was top notch! We were impressed that they had a ton of vegan and vegetarian options as well, but a little surprised they didn’t have any ranch available. The Upland Wheat Ale was good too!

This was our first time eating here, and as an overall experience it was really good. The Two of Tarts beer (sour) is a favorite of mine, and is incredibly refreshing with spicy food. The salad I had was the Upland House Salad with a Thai Chili dressing. My only complaint with the salad were the dressing options, if you prefer traditional salad dressings like ranch, blue cheese, or thousand island, you will be the best off with the buttermilk dressing, everything else was a spicier sauce. They had plenty of vinaigrette options though. I ate the Spicy Chicken sandwich and it was amazing. You could tell they'd fried it in house, and the pickles on top helped to balance out the spice from the Nashville hot sauce. We also got a Habanero pulled pork sandwich, which tasted as the name suggests. Delicious, but extremely spicy! If you're a fan of heat, Upland delivers.

They have some free parking for dining guests. They were using a text messaging system to let us know when our table was ready. We could get a drink while waiting to be seated. We wanted to wait for outdoor seating. Our server was nice. The Plum burger was a nice and different fat burger. We did have to ask for extra sauce. The bacon they used on the burger was amazing. The fries were yummy and crispy and didnt need ketchup (got some anyway of course). Of you like Pilnser and light Ales, the Campside Ale on tap is good.
