The Tap

So I've been to the other two locations and finally decided to try this one. Good part first. The staff and service was excellent! As far as the food prep, I'm hoping I just came in on an off night. The burger was barely warm and the bun was stale. It was 9pm and the Mac n cheese tasted like it had been sitting all day. I believe the food should be just as good at night as it is when a restaurant opens. Anyway, I'm going to come back soon and give this place a chance because the other two locations were so amazing. We all deserve a second chance 😉

This place wasn’t as great as I was hoping it would be. Our server was less than friendly, and never even offered me a refill on my sweet tea…and we were there for an hour and a half! Unacceptable. We started with some cheese curds, which I don’t even think were real cheese curds. These tasted like hunks of regular cheddar cheese that were smooshy and melted!!! I’ve never had cheese curds that tasted like these. My hubby then had a flight of beer, which he enjoyed! They do have a big selection of beer on tap!! We decided to share a pizza, which was decently delicious! It was on the smaller side, so we ordered another. Seemed like it was taking forever to come out, and when it did, it was basically burnt…so burnt, it was eating a cracker..it was so crisp. Hardly any sauce at all. Kind of disappointing. We could have sent it back, but it already took so long to start with, that we just ate it! The server never cleared anything off the table…the menus were there until the end along with all the dishes. Unlike most places who are short on workers, this place had an abundance of workers, who were mostly just standing around and congregating by the kitchen. Don’t know that I’ll go back again!

Overall: amazing. They have their own line of beers they brew right at their basement. We got the brewberry crunch and up the octave from their line. Also a must get shareable plate is the feta hummus platter! All the way, yes! Firecracker shrimp was on FIRE and so good! The hot honey chicken had a great glaze but honestly quite disappointed in the chicken overall. It's grilled, which nothing against that.. I just feel hot honey would be better on a crispier chicken- just my opinion. The fries that went along with that was really good. Great atmosphere with lots of choices for beer and ciders on tap. Multiple TV's for sports. And last but not least shout-out to SAVANNAH for being a friendly and attentive server! Support local, y'all!

Very relaxed environment with a comfortable atmosphere. Wide selection of beers, both in-house and otherwise. Food selection has a range which can accommodate any pallet. The cheese curds and tap fries are some of my favorites. The rotating features of the month often add quality options to the menu. Service is both helpful and frequent to make sure you glass is full.

This place was amazing and loved the ambience!! They had a variety of beers to choose from and had a great experience, especially with Philip assisting with our choices!! The food was fabulous and the Tex mex or the chicken wrap is a must try!! Although it was a bit expensive, would visit for the next social gathering!!

The beer is good; unfortunately we had a bad experience with the waitress who disappeared for 30 minutes, she came back stating “I am sorry, I have a table in the front and I forgot”. They didn’t have any fried food at that time due to the fryer was broken, we got the kettle chips that were not good. The food was ok, but nothing outstanding. The beer is really good.

Passing through Bloomington, we stopped at The Tap to get a bite to eat and a couple of beers with our dog. They were super friendly and seated us on the patio where we had a great view of the whole corner. Our waiter was very attentive and even got our dog a bowl of water without us asking, which was nice of him. My wife got a flight of beer, I got a pint of Taptoberfest, and we shared an order of the fries with four delicious dipping sauces. I got two filet sliders with fries that ended up being quite tasty and just the right amount of food I needed. Overall, we enjoyed dining and drinking here, and we would definitely stop here again when in Bloomington.
