Cafe 422

Simply Wonderful We finally experienced the evening out that we so longed for during Covid. Last night Café 422 struck the perfect balance of great food and great service with a fun casual yet elegant atmosphere. We just can't express enough how much we enjoyed this experience. The people here know how do it right.

Food was excellent. Ate at the bar. The presentation was very pretty as well as the flavor. Salmon highly recommended. They truly have the best salmon in town. Hot peppers in oil are excellent. We like this location even better then the Niles one (which we usually go to). Very nice atmosphere, updated and clean. One of our favorite restaurants in mahoning county.

This was my first visit to the Boardman, Ohio location. We had the Tuesday Prime Rib special which included the Prime Rib, choice of soup or salad and one side dish. I chose the Wedding soup and a baked potato. I am not a fan of Prime Rib so I asked if they could grill it like a steak after slicing it as I much prefer the taste of a grilled steak. Our waitress said absolutely, no problem and I had the best Prime rib (disguised as a steak) ever! Check the attached photo. There is no bone in the prime rib, it is beautifully grilled and melts in your mouth! Perfection! And all of this for under $15.00 on the Tuesday Specials menu. Try their Wedding Soup. They make a very robust recipe with the small meat balls, greens and lots of acini de pepe pasta, which are tiny balls of pasta. It's a hearty version, not the brothy versions that are lacking in ingredients. Treat yourself, check out the 422 on South street in Boardman Ohio
