Old Dixie Seafood

It was so nice that they were being so careful during Covid and cared so much for their customer's safety. The shop is now open and so nice to browse and see all the delicious fish. The owner Larry keeps the place immaculate and the fish is always fresh. The stone crab and fish dip is the best in south Florida!!

It’s ridiculous that one can not go inside. I can’t think of another local fish market or other business where customers are no longer permitted inside. During Covid, this was common and accepted. Businesses like Old Dixie Seafood seem to continue to keep customers at a distance. This is no longer a trend and has completely turned me off. I’m buying fish from across a counter for starters. I’d like to see what I’m buying first. Buying fish from a window is down right tacky. Until this business changes it’s practice, I’ll go elsewhere. Not the experience I was looking for.

I've been going here for many years and they are amazing. The quality of seafood is always excellent. I've never bought anything bad. The people there are so nice and helpful. I bought some yummy jumbo shrimp, stone crab claws and hogfish today and it was all delicious! Here's a pic of the hogfish, I made some sauce to top it. The amazing guy that helped me told me to just saute it with olive oil and S&P, it was delicious! Thank you Old Dixie!!!!

Always a great experience and FRESH SEAFOOD at Old Dixie. I have purchased Lobster Tails, Shrimp and the Stone Crabs are the largest that I have gotten anywhere so far. Kristen, Jason and Michael are always there to help you with a friendly face and great service to talk you through choosing great tasting seafood combinations.

We found this place through a friend last year, and have been getting their spicy smoked fish dip a couple times a month. It's by far one of the best fish dip in south FL. Just last week, my husband picked up the fish dip and half pound of the cocktail shrimps. The fish dip was good as usual, but we are disgusted with the shrimps, they weren't fresh, and as matter of fact, they were awful. They have left such a bad taste in our months, I don't think we will go back and buy their fish dips again.

Went in today to get some fish dip and stone crab. The fish dip was amazing as always but the $140 worth of stone crab that I bought was completely smashed beyond recognition. I do always ask them to crack them for me if I'm going to eat them that same day which I did today but they didn't just crack them they smashed them beyond recognition. Basically it was meant stone crab meat. I called them to tell them what happened and the guy on the phone basically just said sorry hope it doesn't happen again. Really disappointed as I have been shopping there for years.
