Piper Pub & Grill

This restaurant definitely shows its age. Inside, the place looks rather run down; booths are torn up and it is rather untidy. One might use the adjectives "rustic" or "homely". Speaking of homely, one of the servers there looked as if she had jumped of the stage of the Torch, ran a few blocks over, put an apron on, and started serving. I saw parts of her rear end that should be reserved for more personal encounters. The food was mediocre at best. I was looking forward to the 100% Angus beef burger I had ordered, it even looked amazing as it was brought out. However, when I bit into this thing it was tough, dry, and chewy. My dog likely would have chipped a tooth on the rawhide they sandwiched in between 2 buns. Disappointing. Overall, I was not impressed. It isn't the Piper it used to be. I gave this review 1 more star than I should have because the balcony patio the have to dine on.

Honestly their drinks are sort of overpiced. However, they have a 2 for 1 happy hour from 4-6pm. That's like 95% of the time I go there. In terms of drink quality they're delicious. Not hipster delicious where you feel sophisticated drinking them, just kind of the standard "hey this tastes good" delicious.

We went in search of live music. Unfortunately that was not playing at the piper Pub that night. We decided to stop for something to eat. I ordered the elk Burger. It was delicious! My wife ordered the veggie burger they both were huge. The prices were good and reasonable the staff were friendly and professional I'd recommend this place for some good food. Hopefully we will go there when there's live music playing.
