Pojos Family Entertainment Center

My 3.5yr old had so much fun that he really didn't know what to do with himself. We went to a birthday party and the place was very crowded, then again it was a Saturday afternoon. It became more busy around 4pm, and more tables were being used for birthdays. The employees were kind and helpful. I had fun but went through about $20 in quarters. I know my kids had fun, and my husband was occupied with a few games.

It was cool to see that they are still open, and take the pandemic seriously, but they (obviously) had to increase prices (no more nickel arcade, from what I saw). Also, I didn't feel welcome (but I guess that's what happens to older nerds). Staff was great, but others seemed... Standoffish. I remember when arcades were a social place, where you put down a quarter to call dibs on a game, or ask to join someone playing solo on a multi-player cabinet. Now (probably because of the distancing restrictions) people give each other a wide berth. The fun is... Gone. Sad to say.

I used to go here as a kid. My family and I Went two different times this past week. One day was not busy at all and I was surprised at how much they don’t do anything, like clean… there were only three different families there and the people were mostly just talking behind the counter. I saw one person come out to and walk around but didn’t do much of anything. Kids had fun. The second time we went it was super packed. It looked like the legally blind employee was doing most of the work on the floor with helping with upset costumers and trying to fix games and refilling the games with tickets. Kids had fun. There were quite a few games that were out of order, with a place like that, I would think after so many years they would maybe keep up better with maintenance? And I only saw one hand sanitizer dispenser within the whole facility for customers. And when we left, both times, I felt like I needed to shower, it felt gross and it wasn’t very clean at all. It felt like a I just left a second hand store with a germy feel on my hands. Nasty. The employees were nice enough.
