Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Grabbed a baja bowl from here for something quick and healthy. The flavor was there, but the proportions of ingredients was not. I got about three good bites of chicken, guacamole, rice and beans. After that it was just lettuce. There was just enough non-lettuce ingredients to obscure the very plain bowl of shredded iceberg. Not worth eight bucks or a return visit, especially when there is a spot next door that can make a MUCH better baja bowl for less. I'm sure the smoothies are fine, but I'll be skipping it as a lunch spot.

Great place for smoothies, lunch, and breakfast. Lots of healthy options with transparency into calories and ingredients. The smoothie I had tasted excellent. The folks that work here really care and make your experience a very positive one. In one instance, I noticed a customer had forgotten one of the drinks in his order and had left the building. One of the associates literally chased him down among downtown's pedestrian traffic and ensured he got his drink as part of his larger order. This is an excellent example of service to the customer. Also, this cafe has a very civic-minded strategy and supports organizations that make life better for youth in-need (for example, they were raising money for Camp Sunshine when I was there). I highly recommend this cafe for the good quality food and excellent service to both customers and community.

Had an amazing experience in which tried differing smoothies and can say with certainty hey are all good. Moreover if your looking for a particular flavor they can come real close to modifying or creating what you’d desire. We were lucky enough to meet the manager John and what an expert in customer service. I am now newly acquainted into a fantastic new spot that will no doubt flourish within downtown. What I like most is their dedication in making things right and quality of food and service. If you really think about it as a whole most places serve heavy on sugar tropical cafe does not they rely off natural flavors of the fruits and don’t placate their products into something their not. This is an all natural option that brings in an amalgamation of customer service that deserves to be experienced by anyone interested in lunch fare and/or a smoothie anytime of the day. I’m excited to see the line wrap around the block. Thanks so much to John and the team for a great experience!

Stopped by for lunch here for the first time today. I got the thai chicken wrap, and they were able to make it sans cilantro! It was super delicious, and big enough to save the second half for tomorrow's lunch (or let's me honest, my second lunch later this afternoon). I got an off-the-menu smoothie with peaches, strawberries, yogurt, and white chocolate that the worker recommended. It tastes AMAZING! I wasn't expecting it to be so big though. I thought I would get a 16oz smoothie, but this is more like 24 oz. If you're trying to watch your sugar (you're probably not getting smoothies anyways, but...) you can ask for no added sugar. Otherwise, prepare yourself for a sugar overload!
