The Dutch Goose

Greeted by a happy & cheerful waitress with excellent service. I have to say their Fish and Chips are the best I have tasted inland. The cod was perfectly cooked-so moist and tender full of flavor in a perfectly fried batter, the house made chips are also a must have. No one in Idaho does Fish and Chips better. A must have for sure!!!

Just tried to have lunch. Our waitress only had 2 other tables outside, one of which was finishing drinks and paying their bill. She was in and out of the building a couple times acknowledging the other 2 tables and only making a quick glance at our table. We sat patiently listening to her chat about other restaurants and fly fishing with the nearby table. She continued to talk with her back to our table never checking to see if we were ready to order. No drinks offered. We typically love to eat here but if the service doesn't improve, you just lost customers of over 20 years.

We went in on Sunday, 6/2/19 around noonish. There were 4 other tables occupied...not busy at all. We sat outside and had wait staff walk right by us without ever bringing menus. Finally had to go up and ask the 2 waitresses talking at the bar for menus. After sitting another 10 minutes without any wait staff coming over even though they brought food out to others on the patio, we finally just left. This was so disappointing. We used to LOVE going to the Dutch Goose. The Tuesday night buy one get one was one of our favorite family times. After we left we ended up going down the street to Burgers and Brew where we were seated, waited on immediately with a very friendly staff and had great food. Skip Dutch Goose...it is definitely NOT the same as before. So sad. :(

Dutch Goose is a really fun bar! They have a wide selection of beer and a few ciders if you are gluten free. The food was very tasty and well. I had the finger steaks which were a great comfort food! They have a lot of large tables inside if you plan on meeting up with a lot of friends. They also have pool and darts. The outdoor patio is very pleasant and shaded. It was nice even during the hot weather. All of the staff there is very polite and helpful. Alyssa was especially great!

It was excellent! We had a large group of 19 people ages 22-82 celebrating a 65th birthday - we ordered 1/2 dozen+ appetizers, sodas, ice teas, 2-3 dozen domestic beers & micro brews, along with everyone ordered their own separate dinners from the menu on 9 separate tickets during a 3 hour period and I have to say the young lady that waited on us was excellent- her customer service was the best I've had anywhere in the last 4-5 months on the valley, and we eat out a lot from $$-$$$ weekly, the food was all served hot, and everyone raved about their dinners- hot, fresh, crispy, fresh fries, onion rings, burgers, finger steaks, shrimp, salads, halibut fish & chips, etc.! Everything was excellent! The service was definitely a step above! 20%+ tip 👍😎thank you!
