Firenza Pizza

I was expecting another thin greasy and simple pizza (looking at you Pie Hole) yet was greeted with a crispy buttery crust, hand pulled dough, delicious toppings and kind staff (still looking at you Pie Hole 😣 ). I had the "Chipotle Chicken" 10 inch personal pizza which had freshly shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, Chipotle sauce, crema, and a topping of pico de gallo after cooking. I found it very good, especially that crust. One thing that really struck me was the melted mozzarella seemed to be very high quality. Very similar to the pizzas I have had in Italy. Nice job Firenza. Even though it was extremely busy on their first week I was in and out within 15 minutes. As the customers normalize I'm sure it will move more towards the 5 minute mark. This a chain but they have kept the prices reasonable at 5.99 for a cheese 10 inch and 8.49 for one of their "Signature" 10 inch pizzas. They are using a high temp stone pizza oven at around 800 degrees F and unlike Flatbread the crust doesn't come out black and tasting of charcoal. They have a plethora of topping options and you can build your own with an array of different sauces, meats, veggies, drizzles, styles etc. This is overall a great place for downtown with a huge variety of drinks and pizzas that should please everyone. I got a ten inch margherita pizza on special for $5. It was great as usual, especially if you drizzle their balsamic vinegar on it. I also got the blond ale. There was supposed to be live music from 4-8pm but they were on break for 30 minutes. Unfortunately the singer was terrible. The owner and general manager are exceptionally friendly and I always enjoy going there.

I work above the Firenza section of this building and finally managed to head down to try their food. It was 6pm on a Saturday and no one was there, which was very relaxing. The server was polite and extremely friendly, a very positive experience. The pizza was fantastic and definitely worth its reasonable price. I will definitely go there again 😁
