Morton's The Steakhouse

Christmas Dinner… Everything was Great but they never brought our appetizers. They brought our main course and we had to ask for sides that were missing. The waitress was wonderful and she was apologetic for the confusion on their part. She did ask if I wanted to speak to management, I just didn’t want to pay for items I didn’t receive. They were busy but not to the point of being that disorganized, there were plenty of empty tables. I would figure on a major holiday they would have been more efficient.

Fantastic waitstaff and steaks and seafood at this Seaport restaurant. The asparagus were cooked to perfection and also the sea bass too. The chopped salad was delicious too. My friend had the rib eye and it was amazing too! Cooked to perfection. The waitstaff was attentive, professional and knowledgeable too. The front desk was very attentive and knowledgeable too. I will return here again.

We went here to celebrate our 7th year anniversary and was not disappointed. The moment we walked in everyone was welcoming. The Blackberry mojito was delicious. Bread was fluffy inside!! Aged ribeye, filet mignon and lobster tail was great! Then we ordered the bread pudding (which was so delicious but we were to stuffed to finish) because it was our special occasion, they gave us the dessert on the house, but THEN came over and took a picture of us and handed it with a note inside for us to keep. Such a thoughtful dinner! Thank you so much for making our special night JUST as special!!!

Everything was wonderful! From start to finish. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was great as well, and the food was spectacular, the oysters were very fresh. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye, and I must say it was spectacular. We even received a complimentary photo, which was a nice ... I must say not too many places do that. The wine selection was wonderful with many choices of whites and red, far as pricing. I can not complain at all for great quality food, Myself and my husband feel pricing was ready reasonable. And I can not forget about the restaurant host,the young man that was at the front desk reception was very professional and attentive. I would like to thank Morton's for a wonderful evening.

Here we go again...I'm back at Morton's. Except this time, I'm in Boston, MA. And just in case you didn't read my last review of Morton's in Pittsburgh; they had something to prove. Well, they proved themselves worthy of another visit (probably in Charlotte, NC). I'm not sure where to start, so I will just start...I ordered the almighty tomahawk ribeye. 32oz of "oh my goodness"! Look, I've never, ever, ever ordered anyone's tomahawk ribeye. But I wanted to raise the bar. Because I'm thinking there is no way they are going to let this wrong ($$$$). If so...I got no words. Anyway, they slice it for you and serve it with the famous bone (to prove yes it's the real deal). Now, I ordered it medium and was sharing it with the wife who likes hers medium rare (uh uh). It was about 1 1/2 or so thick and, and we both got what we wanted. It was juicy, tender, and had nice flavor. Now I did put a pinch of salt on it (sorry, Mr. Chef), but that pinch made me want to propose to my wife again. Because that love had to go somewhere. But we were not there for that, just dinner. I don't really want to talk about the sides, besides who cares, I was there for The Steak. Now, I keep hearing about this Cajun ribeye, evidently, this is something I've been missing. So, go to Morton's get steak, try the Cajun because when I go to Charlotte, that's my next feat. You hear that Morton's Charlotte? I'm coming...

My family really enjoys going to traditional steak houses. Morton's has some of the best steaks but thir sides are lacking. The seafood platter was excellent but the goda and bacon potatoes didn't have any goda or bacon flavor. Truffle fries lacked flavor as well. Service was good but lacked personality, rather robotic. Solid five stars on the steaks but the sides need to be enhanced.

I might have an unfair judgement here to knock off a star for the service because the first couple times I went, it set such high expectations. We got an early dinner reservation for 5:15 and it was a beautiful day to sit outside. The server came by a couple times to take our order but seemed to be a bit flustered when we were ordering food AND drinks. He had to tell us he would take the food order first and then come back for drinks. He seemed to be young and trying. The food came out but they handed the wrong food to each person. Also, our water was never filled though he came by at least 3 times checking in on us. And towards the end, it almost seemed like he was rushing us out a bit. Granted we sat for a while for a Friday but we had 6 adults and a baby. As for the food, it was mostly pretty good. I had the Filet Mignon. We got it medium so my pregnant wife can have some of the outside pieces that were more cooked, but it was really like medium rare. It might have sat and waited for a bit because it was only lukewarm. I didn't complain and it was still tasty and tender. My wife had the horseradish crusted salmon which was solid. Another friend got the double pork chop which was by far the best main item on the table. The sides were alright...the fries, mashed potatoes, the smoked Gouda au gratin, etc. Everything was good but I felt like improvements could be made on the service, esp for a fancier place.

Celebrated my birthday with a group of friends, really perfect place for that. Love that they customize the menu with the birthday greeting, my friends loved that. They also give a free dessert and take a photo for you. But they almost forgot so we had to remind them. Food is expensive but that is expected with the great atmosphere. They will also give you a parking coupon for the hotel garage nearby. Had a great time overall!!

First time at this location. Was warmly greeted and brought to the smaller room for a corporate function. Waitstaff was upbeat and very courteous. They brought cocktail and drink orders from the bar quickly and accurately. The Manhattan was a perfect example of this classic cocktail. Passed appetizers were plentiful, served hot and delicious. Lobster bisque was the perfect size for a cup, super rich and had a bunch of good sized lobster chunks. Order the sirloin medium-rare...it was sooo tender that a knife was hardly needed. Lobster tail cooked to perfection.
