Soaked in buttermilk brine like they've just returned from a spa, and you get to choose between garlic soy sauce or gouchujang. A velvety encore! 🍜🎶 Don't forget the Funky Chicken Ramen, where the chicken, after a 48-hour spa session in broth, comes out wearing a robe of soy egg and menma. It's so funky, even James Brown would approve. 🐔🕺 As for my Spicy Ramen with the works - it's like challenging a sumo wrestler to an eating contest. Spoiler alert: the sumo won. 🍜🥊 And yes, there's a plot twist - parking is $18, which feels like the price of admission to a flavor theme park. 🎡💸 In summary, Hojoko isn't just a restaurant; it's a joyous, zesty, flavor-filled gala that your taste buds will RSVP 'yes' to every time. 🎉👅

Hojoko has some of the best Japanese fusion food we've ever had. The menu is fun and peppered with unique dishes. Thankfully the plates are small and intended to be shared, so you can order multiple items and try a wide variety of food with your friends. The sake selection is also well curated. Hojoko has plenty of sake brands we hadn't seen before, and we found some new favorites in trying them out. Hojoko itself has a very cool, retro 80s/90s style record store/bar vibe. It's casual and fun. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat in Boston. Highly recommended!

OMG! This is now officially one of my fave restaurants. Ordered so many items off the menu and everything was terrific. And I mean everything. I was with two carnivores and would not have ordered anything vegetarian, but the waiter recommended a dish that I think is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Seriously: Shiitake Mushroom Tempura Roll (truffle salsa, miso, fried garlic, truffle froth). Wow. I want to go back right now. I’m going back and will try to stay at the Verb Hotel that it’s part of. #25MemorableMeals
