Bar Lyon

French dishes are know for their small portion, so I ordered two dishes tonight to feed myself. Quenelles de brochet really tastes like my homemade steam eggs. I don't know whether it means good or bad. The La burger is also small, but it is really good. Slow-cooked pork belly adds some additional compound texture and flavor besides Angus beef, which is pretty impressive. The service is pretty warm. I think this will be a perfect spot for a dating night. Be aware that since two dishes are a recommended size for one, it becomes a little pricey.

This is the best French restaurant I have eaten in Boston so far. Foods are amazing and affordable. The staffs are nice and friendly. Service was good!! I really enjoy my date in this restaurant. I definitely will come back again. BTW you must try the duck confit and the truffle fries. Best fries I have ever eaten!!! Delicious food here! Recommend this place.

Update May 2021 So happy they have opened up again The gougeres, steak tartare, voor grass were delicious again For dessert make sure to order the choc mousse but without the salt It’s just perfect as it is What a wonderful restaurant. We had delicious appetizers; some oysters, steak tartare, the raclette and the duck confit (we were a party of 6) and as main we had the coq ai vin with pasta and the steak tartare with fries. Personally I would not serve the coq au bon with pasta. As dessert we shared the tart tatin and the choc mousse And if weren’t for the desserts I would have given it 5 stars The tart tatin was “petit” and odd. The chocolate mousse had a dump load of salt on it that made it unbearable(apparently this was part of the description I had stopped reading at chocolate) After our feedback they kindly provided a new one without the salt. The service was great

LOVED this restaurant! Great new spot in the south end with a spot-on wine menu, fantastic food, great ambiance, and a great staff ! Enjoyed the Vidal-Fleury wine, French onion soup, baked raclette cheese, and quenelle de brochet. All amazing! Our server Jorge was incredibly personable and engaging, had a great knowledge of the menu and provided excellent recommendations. Will certainly be returning to this little taste of Lyon in Boston!

Great ambiance, very nice staff, and impeccably clean. The cocktails were creative, several I have never seen including a French liqueur take on gin (which the mixologist nicely explained) and a banana, chocolate, whiskey drink. Beers are almost all local and craft which is nice. Really looking forward to trying the food which looks excellent and is served in traditional French crockery. Great addition to the neighborhood. Nice that the bar opens a bit before five for those lucky days when you get off early 😉
