Lucy's American Tavern

We were in town for the holidays and stopped in on Christmas Eve for a quick mid-day bite. Our server Matt was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. (we even left with a little polaroid to commemorate our trip to Boston this year - cute!) The venue was spacious with lots of sports on different screens, I'd definitely come back with a bigger group next time we're back in town and try out the dinner menu.

I have a dairy allergy and called ahead to make sure I can eat there. And they assured me any allergy they can accommodate for. Had a reservation and sat down immediately. Place was really cute for the holidays. The specials looked good. I ended up getting the steak tips with fries and green beans. Differently elevated (fancy) bar food. And it was delicious. Got a take out burger and my bf devoured it.

I wanted to be blown away but wasn’t, I saw this place featured on the Phantom. I came here during the week, after a show, so it was after 9pm. I had ribs, brisket and pulled pork and it was average, my daughter had a burger w fries and she loved it. The dessert was very good, we had a s’mores dessert. I’d return here, but earlier, to try it out again. It was a good vibe and good ambiance.

From the moment we walked in the door until the time that we left, everyone that we came into contact with was amazing! While we were waiting for our table, we watched TWO managers bus our table so that we could sit down quicker! Once we sat down, Alyssa took great care of us. She was friendly and super helpful for any questions we had. All of the food we had was so good and the portion sizes were huge. During the whole meal I noticed management really supporting their staff. One of the managers even brought out one of the dishes and confirmed that it was gluten free. Everyone really went above and beyond for us. I wish that we lived closer because this place would definitely become one of our go to restaurants!

I had a pleasant experience with the ambiance and service. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the pinnacle. I opted for the steak, though I've had more exceptional ones before. The servers were wonderfully kind and the service was prompt. I do plan to return, eager to explore different menu options next time.
