Barnes & Noble Bookstore Cafe

went to the cafe today(usually very lovely!) but when i walked in i heard a women (amy?) berating some of her employees(could not have been more than college age!) right in front of me and another customer. made me sick to my stomach to see someone who is presumably a manager treating their workers like this, and is open about mismanagement in front of customers. will not be returning! absolutely unacceptable to be so rude to the very hard working staff at this cafe. hopefully this review will change something but until it does i will be going elsewhere.

This is for the Starbucks attached not the Barnes and Noble itself. The way they deal with giving food to customers is ridiculous and poorly managed, so much so they gave away my order to the wrong people twice, so I had to wait 20 minutes for my food order. I understand starbucks is a frustrating job as i used to work at one, so I was laid back about it because it's just a grilled cheese. The major reason I am writing this is because, for some reason, the employees on shift thought it would be appropriate to insult me to each other while I was about 10 feet away, talking about how I was frustrating them even though I was, in no uncertain terms, standing there quietly and waiting for the food that I ordered. At the risk of sounding like a Karen, this was one of the rudest customer services ive dealt with in a while. I didnt raise my voice to anyone, didnt start a scene or bicker, just waited and got insulted by people on shift, which is entirely unacceptable. Avoid this place if you're able.

I love this bookstore so much because it means a lot of things to a lot of people, like a casual browse at the pages in a physical book you’ve added to your shopping list, with an intent of buying a copy, or a trip to the music and movies department for the latest DVD or Blu-ray release of your favorite TV series or movie. So Barnes & Noble of Boylston Street, whatever you do, please keep it going stronger and stronger for 30-40 years to come? Thank you for all of your time and attention. Polyvios Christoforos 6/8/2022
