Slate Bar & Grill

Had the Kona burger for take out. Burger was thick and juicy, good seasoning much better than shake shack! Fries were hot and crispy. The portion size was really good and half the price of what they wanted to charge me for room service at the intercontinental hotel a just 3 minute walk away. The bar looked good, will definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

Mediocre food and terrible customer service. I went here for lunch on a Friday with a group of 6 colleagues. We made reservations ahead of time to make sure that they would be able to sit us. When we arrived they sat us at a 4 person table. 6 people at a four person table? I could understand if they were packed but there were open tables all around us. I spoke with the host and mentioned that they clearly sat us 6 at a four person table and asked to be moved. He wouldn't work with me at all. No. That was his answer. Whatever. We sat at our crowded four person table and tried to have a good lunch. Then the food came out. Everything was mediocre at best and one on my colleagues couldn't even eat their entree. Embarrassing. Worst lunch ever. Will not be back and I would urge others to steer away.

Great place. Nice hole in the wall type bar. Good food. Good drinks. Their liquor selection isn't huge when it comes to brands, but they have enough of everything to make good drinks. They have a good beer selection. Fair prices. I went there for a Paint Nite. Definitely did not have an ideal space for it, but it was still fun and successful.
