Harry's Bar & Grill

Harry is a culinary surprise waiting to be discovered. I went for a no frill brunch at a bar and was welcomed by secret messages encoded by a creative chef making brunch dishes at Harry's? Ok so I ordered a huevos rancheros and expected something but not a huevos rancheros. The chef behind the scenes created a beautiful masterpiece they somehow were able to combine potatoes "yes potatoes" with a beautifully made huevos rancheros in green salsa and fresh avocado. I was left speechless. My friend who ordered and avocado BLT also expected a bland sandwich but alas our mysterious chef did an excellent job on that as well. We saw on the menu chef donuts. And since it is customary to have donuts at a bar we had to order the mystery donuts. We got two warm and soft donuts drizzling with leechy sauce and accented with a mint. The sauce was not overpowering nor too sweet. I think I stumbled on a hidden jewel by commonwealth avenue at Harry's. You have to visit this place...

This place has always been great. Have come here for years. Food was delicious this visit but no surprise since it always is. Tonight really stood out though, our waiter Frank (Franco on receipt) took excellent care of us and defined the experience by taking it up a notch. I overheard him saying to another table that he had twice the amount of tables as he normally does and I felt like my service was better than a normal visit. Normally don’t take the time to write reviews but made that much of a difference that I wanted to make sure I mentioned it.

ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCES I’VE EVER HAD! Tif (the bartender) was sooo kind and helpful, the spicy marg was amazing, and the buffalo wings were INCREDIBLE- not too salty, not too spicy. Also, the tv’s are HUGE and perfect for watching the soccer games. Just perfect. My partner and I will certainly be back! Harry, you have a guest for life :))
