Absolutely lovely! I had ordered a cake as a surprise gift through Grubhub. They added the extra writing (“Happy birthday!”) as requested and it was absolutely beautiful. They assured this cake was beautiful and picture perfect. Great gift, especially since I was out of state and could not see the finished product until it arrived. Thank you 🙏

I live in the neighborhood and we go to Daniel's pretty often but I continue to be amazed. They have an incredible diversity of sweets that are just phenomenal. When you're in the mood for a savory pastry they have great breads, quiches, and other savory snacks. On top of all of this the staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have now helped us with two last minute fully customized birthday cakes for our office's staff and both were outstanding in design and flavor. Truly can't say enough good things about Daniel's!

UPDATE: I went back with pictures to ask for a refund. Instead they offered a replacement, which I accepted. The replacement lemon merengue pie was great! Maybe this was a one-off issue, but just give the items in the display case a thorough look before buying. Not sure if I’ll go back. I hadnt had problems prior to this, just a conveniently located bakery with passable pastries, nothing that ever wowed me. I’ve purchased a few things every few months for year or so (which is why I gave 2 stars). Today I bought a lemon merengue pie from the case for a family party. I’d already served up a few slices of pie before noticing some black stuff between the lemon and merengue, I peeled off the rest of the merengue and saw that there was black mold covering around 1/3 of the top. Based on what other people say here, I don’t even feel like getting in an altercation with the owner to get a refund. I don’t enjoy conflict and it seems like they don’t try to make it right when there’s a problem. But, I will give it a try just to say I did and I’ll adjust my review accordingly.
