The Squeeling Pig

We held our daughter’s baby shower in the private side-room at the Squealing Pig. The buffet brunch was substantial and delicious. I requested a couple of specialty items and the kitchen staff not only obliged, but the presentation was noteworthy. Maureen, the events coordinator, was prompt with replies, and outstandingly patient with my requests. Hillary, our server/bartender, went above and beyond in every aspect.

I'm on the fence between a three and a four star rating. I decided to give it a for because the food was relatively well-executed and the service was very good. However, I think it's pretty self-aggrandizing for them to call this place a gastropub. It's really just your average small chain restaurant with burgers, pulled pork, fried calamari, etc.

Stopped in with some friends for a quick bite - had heard it was decent food but I don't live in the area anymore - It was a Monday night so mostly empty but we were greeted by a friendly server (owner maybe?) who took orders for beer and a mix of sandwiches and pizza. Food came out promptly and was delicious. Only one round of drinks - tab was reasonably under $100 for 5 people. If in the area again, I'd return.

Had a good time here with the lady last night. Food is standard bar food with a focus on specialty pizzas. We had a pie with onions, bacon, and potatoes. Surprisingly good! Very good fries that are well seasoned to boot and a variety of alcoholic beverages. There is on street parking available as well as a small public lot on centre street. I will most definitely be back
