The Hammer & Pincers

We had a wake at the Hammer and Pincers in October and the service and buffet they provided was excellent. A wide range of sandwiches (the ham sandwiches were made with proper butchers ham), sausages, chicken goujons, pork pies and lots of very good cakes. They reserved the whole of the lounge and the restaurant area for us. We had a wonderful afternoon and the billl was much less than expected. The new owners really know how to provide excellent food at very reasonable cost.

What a gem! Called in on off-chance & was able to park in carpark in motorhome for free. New pub owners of 3 weeks couldn't do enough. Offered to fill our water tanks, & very dog friendly, even went to shop to buy more dog treats for my pooch! Menu is family friendly, well priced, plus veggie options. From bar, with pool table, to quieter saloon, to sunny conservatory & enclosed beer garden (dog enjoyed that!) The owner, John & his wife, and staff offered a friendly welcome to everyone who came through the door. Highly recommended.

Ventured to this little gem on Monday night 12/6/23. Party of 3 welcomed in by the most wonderful staff. Seated in the conservatory eating area half full a large group from a motorcycle fraternity was already eating and these were welcoming too great atmosphere. Plate size is large I would say excellent chef as food was perfect as was the waiting staff. Will visit again if over this way. Well done to everyone 👏

Went there for the first time (Saturday 15th april), super friendly customer service. Brilliant drinks selection and delicious homemade food for affordable prices. Atmosphere was lovely will definitely visit again. Loved the chilli con carne in the taco, our son loved the cheeseburger, the fish and chips and steak and kidney pie were fab too, thanks chef for great meals.
