The Four Cross Roads Inn

Went today first time for Sunday lunch which is a carvery which we don’t normally like but this was very good, with great choice of meats and vegetables, also all the vegetables were cooked good and tasted freshly served (not like normal carvery’s) Will be back, but would love to have the choice of starter menu if required. Waiting staff could be better and needs maybe a few little touches to be next level up

This pub looks deceiving if ever the term not to judge a book was true this is it. We booked very late notice on a Friday night which is a very popular curry night which looked and smelled delicious. We stuck with the pub menu as needed some vegetables after a long journey from Borders of Scotland. The team and owner couldn't do enough for us, slight error with the order immediately rectified no issues at all. The home made pies were delicious. Thank you for looking after us.

This is the second time we have had the Indian buffet. We were looking forward to visiting again. Both times we have visited the meat in each dish has been out of this world, no tough meat or fat, best meat we have had in all the Indian restaurants we have been into. Great choice, if I was a big eater £20.99 would be value for money. However, there was no way I could eat that much to get value, my fault, not the restaurants. If I could recommend improvements they would be, the food to be hotter in temperature and spice. And the starter foods to be filled more often. Get some vindloo in 😃😃

The food in this pub was more than outstanding and the only downfall is the menu doesn’t come close to telling you what you really get. They are working on that. The management was lovely and I wish him well. I’ve never seen such a big slab of gammon. Food was tasty and large portions and I’d highly recommend going. They have two menus… English and Indian and both chefs are outstanding. Highly recommend!!!

Nice welcome. Good prices. We had a Sunday carvery. It was ok. Very nice Yorkshire. Meat was nice and good selection. Cabbage ,carrots and a cauliflower broccoli cheese bake. Nicely cooked. Roast potatoes crisp but tasted like they were deep fried. mash needed some butter to give it some flavour. Gravy was watery and lacking in flavour. Again for the price it was ok.
