Travellers Rest

You can’t complain about the cost as it’s competitively priced, and I’ve tasted worse costing much more. Sunday lunch for two for £20 including dessert, with a choice of three or four different meats. Excellent value. Parking not an issue either as there is ample parking up a slip road if the front car park is full.

We went in yesterday (Friday 15th September). We ordered breakfast knowing there was going to be a short wait, people who came in for take aways were getting food before us even people who came in after us were getting there food coz they complained. Some one put an order in and paid for it and a voice said from the kitchen oh no not another one. We waited over an hour for our breakfast. Some customer had a right go at the young lady taking the order. I felt sorry for her coz that was out of order. Apparently they didn't like the brown sauce or the burnt sausage. The 1st few breakfast we had there were really nice

Love this place! Staff are always warm and welcoming, always greet you with a smile when you walk in. The food is always delicious and filling, which always makes us come back time after time. Lovely cook and great food options. The coleslaw is amazing! Would recommend to anyone who likes good quality breakfasts and dinners 🤣 a great desert menu too, with plenty of options. Thank you travellers rest for the beautiful service and good chats we have, truly is a wonderful cafe.
