Cafe Rocca

Always get our coffees at Rocca and pastries at Gumnut patisserie... To bad we were told no coffee for you today because you bought your pastries next door...really, turn away eight people when your shops empty for petty rivalry...In reply to your reply, nice try buddy, those pastries were for Alexandria park and we did not try to eat in your cafe. We did try to order coffee in your empty cafe but you were busy ranting about the packets on the table. You must have terrible food if you think people sitting down to order breakfast couldn't possibly be there for the food but brought there own. Get over yourself or your going to have to rely on local guides trying to up their follower numbers..

We had coffee and cakes at Cafe Rocca after a long day going shopping. The coffee and cakes were great. Sadly, we will never go back to this café mainly due to their customer service. The lady who was taking our orders clearly shown her frustration with our orders as our family was a big group with different orders. Not being able to handle a large volume of orders at once is fine, but showing your attitude and taking it out of your customers are definitely not the way to go. Other staff members we encountered was also rude to us. One of our family members didnt think they would finish the coffee on the spot, so they ordered the coffee in a takeaway cup. When the staff brought the coffee out, it was in a mug. We mentioned that we ordered in a takeaway cup, and politely asked if we could have it in a takeaway cup. The staff member almost yelled and said that the instruction wasn't written in the docket. I understand that sometimes people have a long day and may be tired, or they don't like their job, but taking it out on customers is not very professional. I rarely poorly rated any businesses as I understand the impacts of COVID on small businesses in non-metro areas. I, myself, also had worked in the hospitality industry during uni. So for me to rate the cafe this low, it is truly heartbroken.

Replying about the comment! This goes to show how bad the terrible service is there through the ranks! I had to wait a while for service! With your staff walking past multiple times, looking as I tried to get there attention. I ordered the steak sandwich and a drink, one of your premium items... I cancelled the order before it was even prepared and paid for the drink I finally received! You have the audacity to lie about this for your reviews!! How dispicable! I'm happy to get the Police involved. Atleast I keep my receipts and proof. I'm sure you will come up with an excuse bout cctv not working or something.... You're a joke and a bad run business without common decency and humanity to have an elderly lady eat a small snack with her son, where I was your paying customer on the 1 little table! Despicable! Original bad review --Terrible service. Waited forever to be served. Due to waiting and finally ordering a premium menu item. Refused to let my elderly mother sit with me, as she was eating a snack she had bought and wanted her to leave. Disgusting service and put a bad taste.
