The Original Vazzy's

We came for happy hour and had a great time. I'd heard of this place for years but this was my first time there. I love the atmosphere of the bar, the wood everywhere and the glass wall. It has that "friendly neighborhood place" energy. The waitress was kind and helpful. Our drinks came very quickly (very well made), the food took a little longer - as food does. When it did come, it was really delicious! I had garlic bread with mozzarella and peppers and it was perfect. I tasted some of my sisters pasta and it was even better. I'll be having the carbonara again next time!

There's something about this vazzys that isn't as good as the other one. Besides the fact that they let people smoke next to the front door during covid. We sat outside, which is nice and well set up but, also next to where people smoke apparently. We asked the staff and they did nothing about it. The food was okay at best the fettuccine carbonara was just off. They used Luke regular bacon instead. Their lemonade was was lemon water. And the calamari was chunky which indicates it was frozen. It had crunch yeah, but just tasted stale.

The food has always been delicious. However, the service seems to be dwindling. We called in a catering order to pick up and when we got there they had no recollection of the order. They said they would go and find it. A half hour to 45 minutes later they had the order. Yes, it was made right in front of us, but the lack of organization was disappointing. Would have appreciated a free cheese bread or discount on the meal. My husband and 2 kids had to wait in the car while this happened.

Have to say we’ve never had a bad experience at Vazzys but tonight our server Lauren was beyond great! So pleasant and always checking in on us. Not once did we get a maybe or let me check, everything we asked of her was “yes” or “of course”. If you have a chance to dine there in the near future ask to be seated with Lauren! The manager Kristina was also amazing!
