The restaurant is amazing. The chef is the best. The bartenders are friendly and great. I ordered several times from here and I love their Steak with Egg on top. I love the drinks too.
The only thing that I wish to change is the kitchen times. The kitchen closes at 8 PM which is I think too early for dinners.
Everything else is wonderful!! ❤️

We started off with the garlic shrimp not going to lie it was a little bland to my liking. One of the specials today was this grilled squid. That was very tasty. Finished it off with flan for dessert. That was also very tasty. If not for the shrimp this would be a 5-star review.

I've always gotten pork &clams from here, It's the best!! I moved to Pennsylvania over two months ago and I just had to take a trip to CT to get a tray😍😍

The tavern is now a restaurant serving Portuguese food and I would highly recommend it. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted warmly by the owner! We ordered the paella and it was fabulous. Two others in our party ordered Portuguese steak and a pork dish. Must try.

They offer excellent seafood dishes and daily specials! If you have any questions make sure you call and contact the owner manny! He's been doing it for 36 years and doing it well!Authentic Portuguese food!!!!! Come for a coffee, a drink or dinner! Has an outdoor patio for nice evenings and cozy dining room for the chilly nights.

Born and raised in Newark, NJ I was hoping for decent food. I must say this place surpassed my expectations, the food, sangria and service were amazing! Will visit again. 😊

In the hollow of Bridgeport one can find this restaurant. For those from the old neighborhood can identify the building as the old Oakview Tavern. Oh my has it changed!! The tavern is now a restaurant serving Portuguese food and I would highly recommend it. Food was delicious and tasty.
