Baqueano

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We ordered the tasting menu for two and we were blown away by the quality, authenticity and quantity of food. The service was absolutely exceptional. Every member of staff was an expert in their food and drink. What an amazing place to celebrate Argentinian food. We will most definitely be back!

After last year amazing experience we booked again to celebrate valentines at Baqueano. The attention to detail from the balloons at entrance all the way to the window decoration to the table set up everything was perfect! We had a lovely cocktail to start the evening and there were little hearts inside the ice cubes!!! this set the mood for the rest of the evening! Food never disappoints, we have a mushroom soup that was amazing, my boyfriend doesn’t even eat mushrooms and he loved it. My favourite were the sweetbreads and the stake of course! We both went for the ribeye which was cooked to perfection and so tender it melted in the mouth Desserts was just a lovely way of ending the meal we couldn’t decide what our favourite was as they were all lovely and so tasty! Food was delicious and the staff was as always so nice and attentive you just feel like at home We can’t wait to be back! Thank you everyone for an amazing experience

The steak was incredible, everything about the meal was perfect. It’s surprisingly rare to find a restaurant that cooks a steak so well and exactly to your preference… and the cut was incredible, potentially the best fillet I've had. The service was amazing - everything was well explained and we were well looked after despite how busy it was and food came out quite promptly but not lacking in quality. Drinks were also prompt and never lacking in quality. Thank you for having us :)

Having lived in Brighton for over 9 years, I couldn’t recommend my dining experience at Baqueano high enough. The atmosphere, the food, the customer service and experience was impeccable. This family-owned restaurant is one to support, it felt like a warm embrace back to a familiar home. Siendo español me sentí completamente en casa. Bravo!

Such a wonderful restaurant. Really lovely staff, super helpful and chatty when we wanted it. The food was incredible, the steak was perfectly cooked and all the starters were delicious. Wine list wasn’t too expensive and really good choices. Absolutely would recommend anyone coming here. Brilliant steak restaurant with lovely atmosphere.

Wow! This place did not disappoint. From the moment you step through the front door you are welcomed warmly as if meeting old friends, and the restaurant is small enough to feel quite intimate, even though we were a group of 8 celebrating a birthday. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and every single course was cooked to perfection, seasoned and flavoured well and was delicious! The portion sizes are generous, so make sure you don’t snack beforehand. The service was absolutely spot on. The right level of attention and humour, and knowledge of the wine and dishes. And they made my 80 year old Nana feel wonderful for her birthday. There isn’t anything I can fault with Baqueano. Even the washroom was immaculately clean and well maintained. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. You must go! Thank you Baqueano x

Among the very best Argentinian food I’ve had the in the UK. Steak was fantastic, cooked to perfection, as were the chorizos. The empanadas we had as a starter were nicely baked and full of flavour. And the chocotorta is a must try - a very traditional Argentinian dessert Welcoming atmosphere, really friendly service from our waiter, as well as the owner of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend if you’re coming to Brighton in search of steak!
