H's Cafe

I've been here many times over the years at all different times of the day and always get a friendly welcome followed by a great breakfast or lunch. They seem to have a good core of locals who use the cafe for there lunches and are very well looked after by the girls and boys front of house. All in all this is a great cafe and not much else can be said !!

How it goes. We could only have a coffee here, we happen to be visiting and vegan. Warm welcome but nothing showing on menu and the lovely person serving asked us if we could have eggs (?). It's how it goes. Actually after a weeks holiday here I'm chuffed places like this still exist, it's very real classic old style cafe, plenty of work folk on our Saturday visit and there was some great banter / spirit all around. Sure if they could have a set vegan brekkie option with ingredients they already have then great. But places like this are disappearing fast and need supporting

A convenient traditional cafe, extremely great value for money, nothing fancy, just what you need after a hangover or just want a good breakfast/lunch. Options for takeaway are useful, as it can be loud, but some people like the ambiance you get. So the option is yours. Staff are always welcoming and efficient, i've visited a few times but its clear its popular with locals for its customer service and hospitality. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a quick meal or coffee without the unnecessary extras you get from usual restaurants that you make you feel guilty for not eating. Always expect to finish your plate!
