Cafe Rust Kemptown

Received a friendly welcome when I arrived at 2pm. Was offered the brunch menu and went with Welsh Rarebit. The food was done perfectly, cheese lightly browned and well melted, good quality bread and the right balance of mustard. The side salad was nice and helped cut through the fats of the dish. Music is at a good volume to give atmosphere but still speak. Quite chilled beats. Coffee was excellent and service friendly. Would recommend.

Lovely, pretty, cozy. Friendly staff and we certainly sat on a pot of tea for quite some time. Catching up as I was visiting from the United States...with a very old friend of mine. It was mid afternoon and both of us were truly not hungry having had lunch earlier. So we really appreciate it. Just having a beverage in a lovely location. Sheltering from the pouring rain in December in Kemptown...lovely earl grey too!

Lovely cafe for breakfast with a 'rustic-modern' feel. I had probably the best mushrooms on toast I've ever had along with some lovely green tea. The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The menu is simple but perfect for a decent breakfast or brunch without feeling stuffed. I loved that the downstairs seating was next to the open kitchen, it created a great atmosphere and some beautiful smells. Highly recommended!

I'm not from Brighton so as a "tourist" on holiday for my birthday, just wondered around looking for somewhere nice to have a bite and stumbled on this lovely little gem. Reception upon arrival was very welcoming and kind. Lovely young woman (did not get her name😔) served me almost straight away and made me the most insanely delicious cappuccino I've had in a very long time. I order the Rustic Veggie and the portion size was massive!! Definitely get your monies worth in size and in taste. It was freakin' delicious and absolutely filling. Again, not from Brighton, but when I'm next there I'll certainly be back. 100/100 ✨️
