I've been to vel a few times, and everytime I loved it. This is one of the best places I've been to for South Indian food, and most places don't this food are so expensive. The service is always attentive. The dosas are a must have. Unsurprisingly for a south Indian restraunt, there are amazing vegeterian /pure vegeterian selection, including some indo-chinese dishes. A must go

Delicious food and incredible service!! The egg Kottu and Tamarind Garlic curry were outstanding. Very helpful waiters and it's cool watching the chefs in the kitchen do their thing. Speedy and affordable, and all looks to be homemade, we'll be back!

My favourite Indian restaurant in Brighton, and one of the best place to eat in Kemptown. Staff is friendly and welcoming, and menu varied with plenty of choices. Prices are generally ok with a few exceptions (£9 for egg fried rice seem rather excessive).

It’s not the typical Indian Restaurant, where usually serve westernised Indian cuisine.
It’s one of best South Indian restaurant with authentic South Indian cuisine. It’s a small restaurant near Kemp town in Brighton . You will have to book your place, as it can get really busy. We really enjoyed all the food.Everything reasonably priced. Nice staff.There is no parking , street parking around.

Being a big time lover of south indian food, i loved my time and experience here. Loved my fav south indian filter coffee and rasam along with dosa. Did not like Veg briyani but will rate 5/5. Will visit again.

One of the good places which offers authentic Indian food. Definitely have to say this the taste here is really amazing. 🤩 well recommended for South Indian food and also the chole bhature is a must try. Prices are getting bit more on the expensive side, over the last few months.

Lovely authentic food and very reasonably priced. Went for my son's first birthday earlier, he made a mess on the floor and the staff were very friendly and understanding. Thank you.

South Indian cuisine including street food favourites. The staff will happily explain the menu. The new yellow trays remind me school dinners, wish they had more traditional stainless steel ones. Otherwise good value.
