Murasaki

First visit here. I had chicken Katsu w/egg on soba and a side of tempura asparagus. The chicken was tender with a crisp coating: the noodles/curry was delicious. Great 'comfort' dish. The tempura was also superb. Fresh, light and tasty. The service was great and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. I would recommend to others and would look forward to eating here again. 9/10. (I never give full marks :) )

We popped in on a Saturday Lunchtime to nice quiet atmosphere with chilled jazz music playing in the background, perfect for chatting. Friendly service and a concise menu with a decent selection of dishes, either in a tapas style or single main courses. We had two main courses, both of which were excellent. Good, large portion sizes with tasty fresh ingredients. The BBQ sauce in mine was possible a touch too spicy for my palette but still enjoyable. A selection of vegetarian options are available although unfortunately, the 3 main noodle dishes are not as they use a fish sauce base.

Great food at a really good price point. We had a number of items off the menu and each one was delicious. The waitress was very accommodating and helped with some menu recommendations. The restaurant has a nice relaxed vibe with a really cool looking bar which we will be sure to try next time. The food was such good value that we ordered a few extra dishes, everything was worth it.

Pre-booked dinner here when all the well known restaurants in Brighton were unavailable. What a great decision that turned out to be. Friendly staff with the right level of attentiveness and reassuringly aware of the menu with my allergy. Lots of space in a relaxed setting and trendy neighbourhood. The food was incredible, especially the salmon hosomaki, prawn tempura, pumpkin korokke and tempura ice cream which was to die for. Will 100% be returning when next in Brighton.
