Ananas Espresso

I reviewed this cafe 3 years ago. It was steady, had to wait a while to ne served. The person behind the register was hopeless, yes you long dark hair. There is no system in place no table no, just get your name. Order taker then gets some food while the other staff stand about. The food is cooked on a grill that's suitable for home use only. Coffee took 10 minutes and after 30 minutes we are still waiting for one meal. There is no reason that it should be so inept, go around the corner to Plentiful cafe and even when busy it's still better service. A true gem! Its very rare for anyone, let alone a cafe, to remember my name and my order on the second visit. Even though I'm not a regular (covid) they still recognise me and serve my usual with a warm smile and hello. The food is superb and the coffee is perfect no matter the time of the day - no hint of burn regardless of how busy which is a feat in itself! A wonderfull relaxed atmosphere: I cant stress enough how lovely this cafe is! Best way to start the day is the Ananas cafe!

The coffee is average considering the price is high, the owners of the cafe have told me off about bringing in reusable coffee cup because of covid restrictions first time. Second visit, this morning, the older female barista yelled at me because I quickly brought my dog into the cafe to buy a takeaway coffee and told me it is a major counsel fine. While she was telling me off about that to me, she was not wearing her safety covid 19 protection mask and they did not ask me for my vaccine certificate. The few times I have visited, they always seem to tell me off or yell at me. I will not tolerate that as customer service. I can't believe they are still in business treating their customers like this. Disgusting service.
