Nice cafe, nice staff. The food was good however I ordered a hot strawberry from their drinks menu along with my waffles and they didn't send out my drink. Upon asking they thought I wanted a single heated strawberry on my waffles and not the drink listed in their menu. They apologized and said they'd make me the drink (which I was actually charged for too so I'm confused where the miscommunication was) however they took at least 10-15 more minutes to make my drink as they pushed it to the back of the queue and served new customers arriving first. It was just an odd experience as you would assume a cafe would know their own menu and I was also a bit surprised they still served me last after making a mistake like that. They were however very polite, it was just a really weird experience.

I've been going to the Coffee Lab for a number of years now, and during that time it's changed owners a few times. The new guys have really put in a lot of effort to improve the Cafe in lots of ways, and I think it's paying off. The food is the best it's ever been, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Disappointed in the experience here, came in with a few friends and we were the only ones there. They bought out our meals one by one, ended up taking an hour for us to all eat, by the time one of us was finished the next meal would come out. The only good thing about the place is the lady that served us made a nice coffee and was really nice.

First time i came was a number of years ago using Groupon breakfast vouchers. Liked it then and today came got my 2nd visit. Still great menu with value for money menu! Very large portions- great food well cooked. Had the French Garden today- huge! Staff are lovely and the coffee is good too. The only negative is lack of parking and the vouchers need a good clean and dust. Highly recommend!

I'm in two minds whether to tell you about this place. STUNNING ambiance - old coffee machines abound, it has the look and feel of a well worn and well loved home lounge. We had the beef salad and chicken burger - at $14, brilliant value for money, well cooked and tasty. Nice NZ Mac's soft drinks and an Indian and Colombian single origin pair of coffees to finish. The coffee is roasted onsite by the owner, Jae. Thursday night is open late with live music - Often Jazz. Like having a band 'round to your home. Could not ask for a better experience. Not polished and sanitized but 100% real all the way. Service was great. Only fault was no desserts, but my waistline doesn't need them! We'll be back - Guess we'll see you there now the secret's out.
