Hatori Karaage

Wife wanted to have some Japanese, she had previous been to this place. It was late afternoon and we got a table easily. Seated anywhere we wanted and the service was friendly. Got 2 tables out together and looked though the menu. Wife showed me these platters they do and of course I went with the tori fried chicken platter. What came out was where I was after, fried chicken, side of chips and some dips. The kids love fried chicken and yes it was good. Would come back and try some other dishes next time.

First time trying this restaurant with a gf that hasn't been here either. We came for lunch on a Sunday. Noticed other groups of people dining in which was a good sign. We were seated upon arrival. I ordered the aburi wagyu as per the waiter's recommendation. The presentation was very pleasing to the eye. As a main it was a good portion size for me. I finished the whole dish. Bonus the dish came with miso soup. They serve alcohol here which you'd expect as it has the word 'Bar' in the name. Got pear cider but next time I'll be sure to try the lemonade others reviews are going on about.

Went there because I had craved for skewers for a while. Surely we ordered the skewer platter. Also ordered agedashi tofu which is my daughter’s fav Japanese dish and we literally order it every every where it’s available. The tofu not the best but above average. We didn’t wait for long for the skewer platter. I personally like salmon, chicken and mushroom skewers. Would like to go back for the skewers and try more dishes there.

From 5 star to 1 star So went again with the family for a birthday dinner on Monday night. Absolutely disappointing in every dish except for chicken sticks The eggplant had lumpy coating drenched in syrup, and rest of the dishes were not at all to what we’d had on our last 2 visits on Saturday nights Not only spoiled the evening, but our memories for the birthday celebration as well We had taken a cake, which was brought out in its box half opened Then they didn’t have a lighter, finally found one in their kitchen, but the waitress didn’t know how to work it 😬 so the birthday girl showed how to use a simple kitchen lighter. Wonder who was cooking that night???? Definitely would not go there on Monday night… Friday & Saturday.. yes Below previous review @ 5 star Delicious food, quick service … placing order…communication in English with staff takes time … definitely will be going again
