Zen Flavour

Great place, used to be a frequent visitor when I lived closer. One of my favourite spots in Sunnybank. Highly recommend their Prawn with pineapple sauce and also their Salt and Pepper whitebait. I wish they'd bring back the avocado smoothie (wasn't on the menu any more after my last visit). Delicious all the time but can get very busy.

Probably one of the worst Chinese restaurant you will ever go. Most of the waiters are students, and I doubt the chef too is an amateur. I puked after I ate from there. Although food is atrocious the staff is friendly. Braised pork was stale. Kingsfood special fried rice seemed like a ghost (no meat, no salt). black bean fish fillet was borderline eatable, although flavorless. Beef with shallots was plain without any flavor. And green tea was too sour. Guests should avoid passion fruit green tea here for their good health.

First time I ordered from here, I was blown away. Absolutely the most amazing food I'd ever eaten and was a catalyst for my love of Asian food. However subsequently since then, we've been pretty disappointed. The food is always lacking flavour and seasoning! We ordered 9 dishes a few days for my birthday, and despite some of them swimming in a huge pool of sauce, there was still absolutely no flavour. I don't like spicy food, but we even ordered something with a chilli symbol on it, and it was far from flavoursome. We are finished with Kingsfood now. Unfortunately we have tried and tried again and hoped that the poor flavours were just a one off because of our awesome first experience (in April 2020!)...but it's obvious that changes have been made, whether to save money or try and appeal to more western market.

One of the best restaurants for quite the fair distance. You always get good portion sizes and quality. The only thing with one of my visits is the beverages came after we finished our meal. We even enquired a few times in between and they always replied with "it's being worked on". When it arrived, it tasted very watered down - it was a milk tea. Other than that, they have been fantastic.

The staff serving us was very helpful and obliging. They have face mask 😷 on. Thanks for keeping us safe. Food was good. This hot and sour soup has the right amount of sourness and heat. The combination crispy noodle has generous amounts of veggies and meat. We were very impressed. Will come back to try other dishes.
