Fish 218

Seriously had the best ever potato scallop from this place. The slice of potato was about 4mm thick. Gorgeous to bite through and feel like you’re actually tasting the potato. The batter was super thin and crunchy. Not overly soaked in oil, light and delectable! I’ve tried potato scallops Australia wide, this is definitely the best one I’ve had ever!

Had a craving for fish and chips but the few stores I'm more familiar with this side of town are a bit far to get takeaway from, so a bit of googling turned up a suitable looking option closer to home in the form of Fish 218 in Eight Mile Plains, where we ordered their snapper special ($31.90): * 2 snapper * 12 calamari rings * $3 chips * small coleslaw. We got one of the fish battered and the other grilled ($1 extra). Wifey was a bit late for the scheduled pickup and by the time we got the food home to eat some of it had cooled quite a lot, detracting from the enjoyment of the chips and calamari rings in particular. The bottom of the battered fish was all soggy but the top still had a decent amount of crunch. No tartare sauce is included but we had the leftover trio of mayo from our Grill'd order the day before so that came in handy for the chips. Overall it didn't fully satisfy my fish and chips craving but that's mostly due to the delay between cooking and eating. I'd be keen to give this spot another go when I can cut that delay down significantly.

Look soon as I walked into this fish and chipa shop I just knew, it was gonna taste lit. The young fella that served was good young chap done as I requested lots of chicken salt and by God's grace I found me a lil sneaky new local drop in oooowah they smell of freshness was amazing a breathe from the ocean her self . Anyone wanting a lovely feed great size and I'm a big bearded fellow whom loves to have a feed and I was very happy thanks The bearded guy

There is closer shops to our house but we always travel a little further to get our FNChips from here. Brilliant quality food. They have been spoiling my 2 kids (reg chips after school) & my family for years now. We can not recommend them enough. Yummy food back by genuinely friendly service. We love this shop - Fantastic food, Fantastic service, Fantastic staff!...A massive 5 star thumbs up from us & also from the many other friends I know that buy from here.
