The Milk Thistle

We had our first time here for a special birthday. The service from Ali (apologies if not spelt right) was impeccable. Drinks were incredible and the most professionally mixed and blended we have ever had , and the suggestions that Ali made exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to returning again, amazing ambience and location and couldn't rate highly enough. No rating for food as only came for drinks and chess ! If you haven't booked in for this venue you are missing out!

I've been wanting to go to the Milk Thistle for AGES & finally made it down there last week 'solo'. I was lucky to get a space at the bar (it was Thursday) and was treated to an amazing Gin cocktail 🍸🍹 made by Chris. I tried to get in again yesterday but hadn't booked so there was no space. But I'll come back soon that's for sure, and I'll remember to book this time. It's a real 💎✨.

Very good cocktail bar “hidden in plain sight” there’s something unique about the way this bar operates. We booked here for early evening, pre dinner cocktails for our anniversary night. Once inside the bar has a lovely vibe to it. Everyone working here are happy and friendly, the menu is extensive and beautifully designed, the cocktails are creative and very nice. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the drinks and helped when deciding on the next cocktail. I would definitely recommend this bar. Excellent experience. Thank you!

We came her on the recommendation of a local waitress, and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is excellent, dark, good music, and generally luxurious. The cocktail menu is interesting too, with lots of things on there worth trying. The staff are very friendly and helpful, with explanations of the menu and recommendations. Prices are what's expected of a city centre cocktail bar.

This is one of the most amazing bar Ive ever been in. The explanation is exquisite, making the customer feel like home and knowledgable about what they are getting into. The manager is real friendly and the drinks pack a punch for sure. Nice decor, suits a theme alongside with their drinks. Definitely need to stop by when coming to Bristol.

It’s a wonderful night to visit Milk Thistle. A wide range of cocktails and alcohol for your selection. Perfect service, Chris and the bartender. Talk to the bartender for your favourite and they can help to tailor made some drinks for you out of the menu. This house was built since 1857, with history and story and their staff is willing to share with you in off peak hours. Good vibe to chill with your friends here. Remember to reserve your seat on Friday and Saturday. First floor only be opened on Friday and Saturday.

Gorgeous venue which is so well themed throughout. It feels like you're stepping in to some kind of special secret society. The bartender really took their time to talk to us and find out what cocktails would suit us best, and we even got some complimentary glasses of bubbly for my partner's birthday as well. I can't wait to come back here, the staff were so attentive and it had a great atmosphere.
