Superb location, ticks all the right boxes. Stopped in for lunch and drinks. We’re coming back tomorrow for the roast. Smashing team too, super friendly

Best wedding venue!!
We had our wedding reception here at the end of September. We arrived at 1:30 and stayed past midnight. The food was amazing all of our guests commented on how great it was. We had a mixture of different dishes and we all left very well fed. The service was impeccable we truly felt like royalty when were on board. The team decorated the restaurant area exactly how we wanted it, we barely had to lift a finger. James, the events manager, was on top of everything and made the day run so smoothly. The staff in general are some of the nicest personable team I've met. Special thanks to Vince who was manning the margaritas. After the meal we went down to the hold bar where we danced the night away. Again James managed the live band keeping them fed and watered. We think it was Macca(?) Who was manning the hold bar who did an excellent job keeping everyone jolly! We couldn't have asked for a better team! Thank you for such an amazing day!!

Easily one of the best spots in Bristol. An old converted barge with panoramic views of the dockyards. Great food and very well kept beer. Bring a book and just soak in the scenery. They allow dogs too. Great place to sink a beer after paddle boarding on the other side of the harbour.

Incredible place! Best vegan roast we've ever had (seitan, mushroom & leek pie) with roasties, root veg, green cabbage & red cabbage plus really thick gravy! Really good portion sizes and great value. Good tunes, lovely view over the water and really great staff. Highly recommend this place!!!!

A very nice spot for drinks and a bite to eat. The view from the upper deck was fantastic. The drinks were good. The food was fresh and tasty. The were all very friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed it.

Gorgeous setting, a boat on the river!
Staff are so friendly and attentive!
We had drinks and a portion of whitebait just to nibble on. What a big portion of beautiful, crispy whitebait!
The fish themselves were plump and served with crispy battered seaweed. The dip was delicious and for only £6.25 fantastic value for money considering the portion size!

I have been to The Grain Barge a few times over the years in Bristol. Their beer range is excellent, obviously, as this is part of the BBF empire lots of extra craft too if wanted. But today what struck me as I sneaked out the back (after taking the picture from the top deck) was how nice the 'lower river viewing bench' is and if you are a regular you know what I am taking about. I don't want to say this too loudly but on a fine Bristolian ☀ day this is one of the best places to be 😎

Lovely place to grab a drink, I'm not too sure is just as nice for a dinner, as it's too noisy.
Although we've had some vegan chips and they were to die for. Sriracha chips were heavily covered in salt crystals.
Top deck is walk in based, the rest of the tables I'd suggest to pre-book. Lovely view in the evening

Didn't get a table on the deck, but inside wasn't bad either. Tables and sits were a little sticky.
Beer was OK, but I did not like my salmon.
Overall, worth stopping by for the waterfront experience.

Always SO impressed with the food here :-) Local, delicious and always such good value. The last few times we've been I've been blown away by how good all the food was. Really good selection of local beers, a good wine list and really friendly service too- really recommend!
