The Knowle

Another well spent Sunday in another lovely pub on an autumn afternoon. Amazing pub, service is very friendly. The pub was packed so is obviously a popular place. The roast itself was very nice, had the pork belly which was nice and tender, crackling was delicious as well. Special mention to the Yorkshire pudding, gravy, carrots and cauliflower cheese. Roast potatoes were ok, nothing special.

The Knowle was an awesome experience, went to meet some friends. First thing we were greeted by friendly staff at the bar who showed us to our table, I'd asked if we could have a table close to the toilet which they were happy to do, although there was a little step into the pub a stick user and wheelchair person could get in but warn them in advance as it can get crowded. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was excellent. The prices were on par with what I expected for dine in table service. It was a great time had.. Thank you The Knowle! 👍

Drinks are not cheap but the food is good and staff friendly. If you want a table might be wise to book. Wow 😁👴 returned last night, it was fantastic, the staff were so attentive, the manager/ maitre really wants you to enjoy the experience. We had a table at the rear overlooking the east of Bristol. The manager walked pass and noticed that the music was to loud for polite conversation, hey presto the volume went down👍. Food my wife had Haddock and chips she said it was perfect did not share any will me, it was that good. I had the fillet of steak,cooked medium rare it was perfect, could have been bigger but when it's this good I could eat 500grams. Dessert Rhubarb crumble for one, wife does not eat dessert, dessert arrived it was big enough for two with two spoons. Finished with two latte's they were large and very good. I would like to keep this place a secret, so we could always get a table but this place deserves high recommendation.

Lovely dog friendly pub. We came for a Sunday roast and it was tasty. The roast potatoes weren't the best - they were missing the crispiness and fluffy inside, but still enjoyable. Lovely giant Yorkshires! I had the nut roast and a sticky toffee pudding, which was delicious. Books and toys available for children, which was a nice touch. Only missing a star as we waited a lot between serving. It wasn't busy, but it took about 15 minutes for someone to come back and take our dessert order and noone came back to take payment of the bill for 20 minutes, so we ended up going up to the bar. Would recommend for all dog owners who want a yummy roast in a relaxed, comfortable setting.
