Sandwich Sandwich

I've been following Sandwich Sandwich for ages on Instagram and today, finally made it to the Cotham shop and it did not disappoint. The lady who served us was so friendly and helpful. I went for the Southern fried chicken sandwich which was full of flavour and stacked out. My partner went for the Philly steak stack. Highly recommend both. Wonderful customer service and delicious rocky road with jelly babies in. Would definitely return, and would recommend getting there early as they had run out of stuff but still a lot of choice. Sandwich Sandwich. At first I thought that the name was just lazy but then I realised its genius. So... Imagine a sandwich, you have your filling and then the bread either side. If a filling like cheese just has bread on ONE side then it is NOT a sandwich. This being the case A Sandwich Sanwich goes in the following order: Bread, More bread, Filling, Bread, More bread. I was initially disappointed to find out that this establishment does not do sandwich sandwiches on it regular menu.... I have heard rumours of a secret menu.... stay tuned Google and wish me luck.

Been going to this place for some years. Their scotch eggs are superb and recently I had a 'Piggy Pie' – probably the best pork pie I've had the pleasure to eat (and, trust me, I've tried a few). They also did a a pastry baked pie slice – that was delicious too (not sure if that's still on...). Not 'cheap' but definitely good value.

Love this sandwich shop, my partner and I live round the corner and we regularly have our lunch here. The staff are lovely and food is even better. The only down side is the lack of staff. When the owners hire another staff member after the last one left. The shop will be back up to a 5 star sandwich shop.
