Update - Since posting, it seems this venue, has now closed down. The owners have put a lot of effort into this place, "gelato' , so we were informed is more native to this country then the American 'Ice-Cream' that we have become accustomed to over the years. For those that don't know the difference, I quote.. 'Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. It starts out with a similar custard base as ice cream, but has a higher proportion of milk and a lower proportion of cream and eggs (or no eggs at all). It is churned at a much slower rate, incorporating less air and leaving the gelato denser than ice cream' It never seems busy in here, in fact every time we have been, we have been the only customers. Lovely clean modern layout, only let down by the high prices of the drinks.

Been in a couple of times since it opened. Well worth a visit - a good selection of cold and hot drinks. They hope to add a drink licence soon as well as some more delicious sweets. The staff are terrific and the cafe is really well laid out. A great place to visit or meet friends. Give it a try if you're passing especially if you're from the Peoples Republic of Bishopston or Horfield
