Downgrade 1 star due to repeated matter : Take care to be sure that one's order, even for just chips will not take some minutes to be ready, if you are in a hurry and want a quick takeaway. They often do not warn you so, it seems here. Unlike the normal way in chippies to kindly ask if it matters to customer: "It will be 5 minutes, is that okay ?" It does not take much to ask such, and it will gain more business by such kindly respectful way of doing chippy business, one thinks. Rather than being worried to lose one bit of business from someone who is in a hurry on that day. This has caused some bad feeling, as they were a bit unkind in trying to see the point : so just take some care here if they are a bit awkward at times as I found and would not respect one's point in this is of some good enough weight to be borne in mind at least. I hope they can be or one or two in here a bit more kind and thoughtful in response to customers who are only asking for s bit of sensible ear in a matter. Good business can be better by ability to take in good ideas and think on them as they review what they do well or very well. I hope this one is one of such too. Every best to hope for a nice chippy. But yes, earlier Review was/ is: Very good place. Good standard of fish and chips and pies etc. Nov 2020 during these 'lockdown' times, serving us all very well. And we have two very good quality chippies in Westbury on Trym, Bristol, now, I think. Very pleasant owners seeking to serve us locals and wider afield very well. Many thanks to them.
