Khalil Biryani House

I went to the Hillside Avenue location. Great guys, excellent food and service! I had ordered two beef tihari, one kachi, one chicken biryani, half chicken tandoori and bourhani. Excellent taste!!! Servers behind the counter very helpful in explaining the different items. May Allah bless this business.

Specious and three types of food in three corners. When you enter, on your right you will find Bangladeshi food like byriani, rice, different types of curry etc. On the further side, you have pizza, sandwich, swarma etc. No pizza on the day we visited. The amount is not enough but the price is not low. But the taste is good 👍. Then you have juice corner with different types of fruit juice, bubble tea, misti etc. There are some flies in the restaurant.

Everything we ordered was delicious. It took us a little while to get a waiter as they seemed to be hosting an event there, but it was well worth the wait. And once we got the waiter, service was great. We ordered a mix of traditional Bangladeshi foods (samosas, roast polao, tehari) and the fusion Chinese (momos, fried rice) and everything was great.

The food and desserts are good. The earlier you go the more likely you will be to get everything on the menu, once things like seekh are finished they aren't replenished until the next day. Evenings are busy most days. The front area where desserts were displaced was recently updated to add additional seating.

I think it’s a bit overrated place given all the hype with their biriyani. The place usually stays busy and packed but we went over there off hour (after lunch time) so got it a little free. To be honest I loved their Tehari. For me it’s the star dish over here. I will rate it 9/10 We also took Biden Biriyani. They say it’s their specialty Biriyani but for me it felt pretty average. Taste wise I will rate it 7.5/10. They also have many other types of biriyani to choose from. We also took their steamed momo. It was okaish. I’m gonna rate it 7.5/10 Their faluda is nice. Its quiet creamy and sweet. If you are taking your car then be mindful about the parking. It’s pretty hard to find parking in this neighborhood.
