I have known them for 3 generations to current. The food follows all NY Regulations. Not over seasoned and it is very Tasty! I come from 2 hours to eat here because the food is delicious! The Mac and Cheese is made just like I made it from home! I recommend you to check it out! Oh and the owner is a Real Hardworking Dedicated Business Man! Please stop by and Enjoy !

Honestly my favorite Jamaican restaurant. You could never go wrong with the Mac and cheese, sweet potato and fish also the staff are very friendly. I love it!!!

Best Jamaican spot in the hood the food always great quality and fresh never had a problem ordering from here. The people mad cool and friendly and they make sure they give you good portions. Love the fact oxtails , jerk chicken and curry chicken everything is good and taste like real island food 🥘

I’m currently living in PA and once I come back to my home the BX it’s a MANDATORY stop at Kaylah’s Hut. The Best Oxtails that’s going to leave your mouth salivating for more so your better off ordering twice. The BEEF RIBS will slide off the bone with ease and I’ll guarantee you’ll be licking your fingers. Came wait for another visit back home. First stop Kaylah’s Hut!!

I ordered the large oxtail with rice & peas, Mac & cheese and yams and then an additional order of the ackee & salt fish with dumplings, boiled banana and plantains. Everything was made fresh and tasted delicious. Ordered with uber eats

Kayla's Hut always has freshly made Jamaican food. From the curry goat and chicken, to the stew beef, to the plataños, to the rice n peas, to the cabbage and collards to the beef pattys.
This place is the most authentic Caribbean join in the Prospect ave area. They have great multi-tier lunch specials ($5, $8, and higher).
I work at a school nearby. They always have friendly service and great food, which makes this one of my favorite lunch spots
