Pine Family Style Italian

An established and quality place, great clientele, people of many races, and of great conversations. I've had several dishes, all were tasty, The pine is the only place I can find that has an expresso martinis close by. My only issue is that I'm becoming a regular. I've had the same bartender 4 out of 5 times. The one time I had a different bartender, I was given a complimentary salad and breads with my meal. On the 5th time, I asked said," bartender if it's routine to receive a salad." The bartender said yes,,,, 4 times he never gave me a salad !! When I asked, he said he's been swarmed and extremely busy. Damn, the other bartender definitely paid attention to detail and made time for me. I definitely gave a bigger tip cause I felt special, being that I had never gotten a salad. It's still a very nice vibe in the pine. It's an old name and quality.

Update Dec. 2023 - Downgraded my food and service rating. While the food was tasty some of our dishes came out not hot. Service was slow and spotty. It's possible they were short handed but was not as good as usual or expected. Always good. Service is wonderful and food is amazing. Update: went to the pines while visiting. They never disapoint. Great meal as alway.

I haven't been here in many many years but decided to come tonight and boy was I glad I did. Although this place has expanded exponentially the food is still absolutely amazing as is the service and the atmosphere. Absolutely the best meal I've had in quite sometime. Definitely highly recommend the Pine if you want a great meal with great service and great people around. You definitely have to come here. And I have been coming here since I was in my teens and it has only gotten bigger and better.

Came here for lunch on President’s Day 2023. Was seated by one of the Valet Parking attendants. Our server a was very nice. A big restaurant with many sports pictures on the wall and Sinatra playing all the time. Big portions! Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Moderately clean facilities. The food was good but, I prefer a little more seasoning. Spaghetti side dish was a little watery. Overall a nice place and we will definitely be going back.

Love,love,love this place. Wish I lived closer. Would come more often. Went Sunday around 7pm with no reservation and expected a long wait. They were busy. Marco was so kind to fit us in. The food was amazing. Nothing like it in the world. The best Italian outside of Italy. Service is always top notch. And the rat pack music playing makes for the perfect atmosphere. My visiting family loved it. Perfect end to a perfect day at the Bronx Zoo.

Had a reservation for 6:45pm and wasn't seated until an hour later. Saturday gets really packed by large parties. The host, Marco, kept checking in until a table cleared up. Several different servers stopped by my table, I guess, because how busy it was. The food was worth the wait. Authentic Italian cuisine. Will return on a less busier day.

We use to eat here with my husband when we lived close by…we come back today with my daughter. She ordered to the stuffed chicken parm, the portion is huge I mean huge,I have my dinner too. Flavors for me not a same as before,don’t get me wrong food still good. What didn’t change and I love the restaurant atmosphere…wall panting, bricks and the the music,very classic.

I was at Pine Restaurant 2 weeks ago. My dear friend made a call and got us a reservation. The food was outstanding. All of it. Calamari outstanding, grandma's pizza outstanding, pasta with sauce outstanding. The chicken with potatoes and spicy sausage, the flounder, the potato croquettes.. Outstanding. And quite possibly the best service and attentiveness I've ever experienced at a restaurant that wasn't a wedding. It's worth every dollar. Go.
