Portobello Restaurant & Pizza

Staff was quite nice. However I ordered a margarita pizza as well as a bacon pizza and the bacon one came without bacon. A bit disappointed given the fact that I didn’t check and drove all the way home for cheese plain pizza. Not even sure if they charged me the right amount. Other than that, the margarita pizza was yummy.

Placed a take out order, ready to go in under 10 minutes. Nice seating area, service was quick. Great thin crust, parking was not bad. Not sure how it will be in the future. Pavement markings show future construction coming for sidewalk improvements.. I gave the Chicken Parmesan with Zetia a try, had to wait about 20min, was well worth the wait, came with a salad I wanted Vinegar and oil and some bread. This little restaurant is a jewel tucked away in the town. Give the restaurant a try if in the area.

I was surprised with my experience here. All the reviews led me here but I found the food to be sub par. The pizza was far from the best I've had. It reminded me of a frozen pizza. The breading on the calamari was tasty but the calamari itself was not good. They also do not take credit or debit so you need cash.

My boyfriend grew up in Brookfield and absolutely raved about this place being one of his favorite childhood memories. We decided to make the trip to visit Portobello which was over an hour drive for us! As a Connecticut native I can confidently say this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Connecticut. The food was absolutely incredible and (everything, literally) was very well prepared and made in house. The owners are incredibly friendly, kind, and very personable. They made the experience even more better. Thanks for all your hard work and delicious food Portobello staff! We will definitely be back 😊
